DSC Channel Gain

This section is only applicable to the lab application and to a test application with the required feature license.

DSC Channel Gain sets the power of the R-DSC Channel relative to the power of the R-Pilot Channel (-15.5 to 0 dB, in 0.5 dB step). It is sent to the AT via the DSCChannelGain or DSCChannelGainBase parameter in the Traffic Channel Assignment message (see TAP/ETAP Data Connection Call Flow ) when the test set is in the Active Cell operating mode with Protocol Rel set to the A (1xEV-DO-A) and Release A Physical Layer Subtype set to the Subtype 2.

The DSC value carried on the R-DSC Channel is used by the AT to indicate to the AN the selected serving cell on the forward channel. The DSC value takes effect one slot after the end of its transmission and stays in effect for DSC Length slots.

DSC Channel Gain can be changed at any time.
