Probe Initial Adjust

Probe Initial Adjust

Last updated: May 24, 2006

Probe Initial Adjust sets the power correction that the access terminal applies to the open loop power estimate to adjust its initial transmission on the Access Channel (when transmitting the initial access probe in an access probe sequence).

When the test set is in the Active Cell operating mode, Probe Initial Adjust is sent in the Access Parameters message (see TAP/ETAP Data Connection Call Flow ). It can be changed at any time and will be sent out in the next Access Parameters message.

When the test set is in the IS-856 Test Operating Mode , Probe Initial Adjust is set to the value that is expected to be used by the access terminal.
