Setting Hard Handoff Parameters

 The test set's base station emulator provides control over the hard handoff parameters described below. This allows several parameters to be changed without a handoff attempt until the Execute Handoff key is selected. For more information about the hard handoffs, see Performing a Hard Handoff .

 

 Hard Handoff Parameters

 The following list of handoff parameters are displayed under the Handoff Setup menu when the following two conditions exist:

  1.  
  2. The Operating Mode field is set to Active Cell (see Active Cell Operating Mode ) or Cell Off, and
  3.  IS-2000 or IS-95 is selected in the System Type (see Selecting a Cellular System Type ) field.

 If the IS-95 is selected in the Handoff System Type field, the following parameters are also available:

 If AMPS is selected in the System Type (see Selecting a Cellular System Type ), or if AMPS is selected as the current Handoff System Type, these handoff parameters will appear under the Handoff Setup menu:
