SETup:ORFSpectrum:AUTO:FILTer:TYPE?

Function

GSM TA

Queries the test set to determine the fastest measurement filter type based on the currently installed hardware and test set configuration. The possible measurement filter types are ANALog and DIGital . See Output RF Spectrum Measurement Description for more information regarding the measurement filter type and other information on the ORFS measurement. The result of this query is the type of measurement filter the test set uses if the measurement filter type is set to AUTO .

The command to set the measurement filter type is SETup:ORFSpectrum:FILTer:TYPE .

For more information on how the hardware affects the measurement filter type, see:

Programming Example

! Sets count state for both ORFS due to switching and modulation measurements.

SETup:ORFSpectrum:FAST

Function

GSM TA

This command sets/queries the fast measurement state, which determines whether or not the ORFS due to modulation measurement is performed exactly as defined in the ETSI standards.

When set to On, the measurement is performed on both the front and back sections of the burst. With this setting, the test set can provide two modulation measurements per burst, effectively doubling measurement throughput.

When set to Off, the measurement is only performed on the latter section of the burst as defined in the ETSI GSM standards.

When the ORFS measurement filter type ( SETup:ORFSpectrum:FILTer:TYPE ) is set to DIGital the measurement ignores the fast measurement state if the expected power for the selected burst is lower than the expected power of the burst that is immediately before it.

Function

GSM TA

Sets/Queries the filter type. The possible measurement filter options are Analog, Digital, and AUTO.

The analog and digital measurement filter types each include ORFS due to modulation and ORFS due to switching. When set to AUTO, the test set automatically selects the filter type that will result in the fastest measurement speed based on the test set's hardware specification and the current test set configuration. The filter type chosen by the test set can be queried using the command SETup:ORFSpectrum:AUTO:FILTer:TYPE? . See also Output RF Spectrum Measurement Description for more information regarding the measurement filter type and other information on the ORFS measurement.

SETup:ORFSpectrum:ICOunt:MAXimum?

Function

GSM TA

This command queries the total number of measurements made each time an ORFS measurement is initiated. This number will vary depending on the number of offsets and number of multi-measurements that you choose.

The total number of measurements is calculated using the following formula:

ICO MAX = 1 + M + S

  • Where:

    • M= ( the number of modulation offsets ) ¥ ( the number of multi-measurements for ORFS due to modulation ).

    • S= ( the number of switching offsets ) ¥ ( the number of multi-measurements for ORFS due to switching ).

See Output RF Spectrum Measurement Description for a description of modulation and switching offsets.

Function

GSM TA

This command sets/queries the absolute limits for the specified custom mask to be used with the ORFS Modulation measurement. Custom limit testing differs from Manual limit testing because a limit mask is defined separately from the frequency offset. When a frequency offset is changed, the limit value is recalculated for the new frequency offset by interpolating the Custom Mask.

A total of 32 reference points (frequency point / limit value mask point pairs) are available to you when defining a custom mask. Frequency Offsets that fall outside the Custom Mask will always return a PASS result. The custom mask is turned off when no points are specified in this command.
