This parameter only applies when the command SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE is set to CONTinuous , CONT2 , or CONT3 .

This command sets/queries the Measurement Sample Count for the Phase and Amplitude versus Time measurement.

  • When this count value is set to > 5000 or < 1 ( For CONTinuous and CONT2 ), > 50000 or < 1 ( For CONT3 ), "Data out of Range" error message is displayed.
  • If you change a CONT3 Measurement to CONTinuous or CONT2 , the count value will be automatically set to 1 if it is originately over 5000. A warning message is popped up to notify the change.

This parameter only applies when the command SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE is set to DISCrete .

This command sets/queries the type of results the Phase and Amplitude versus Time measurement returns. The valid settings for this command depend on what the command SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE is set to. If the waveform is DISCrete all the options for this command are available. If the waveform is CONTinuous then the only valid setting is SAMPle . The options for this command are described below:

  • PCAL - returns the measurement results of each step in the following order: measured power, measured phase error, measured frequency error.
  • SAMPle - returns the amplitude and phase of the samples taken from the calibration signal generated from the mobile station.
  • BOTH - this setting makes both PCAL and SAMPle result formats available.

The setting for this command affects the results the test set returns for the command READ:PCALibration[:ALL]? and the FETCh:PCALibration commands.

This command is only applicable when the command SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE is set to DISCrete .

This command sets/queries the expected center location of the measurable portion of each step in a calibration signal generated by the mobile station relative to the RF Rise trigger threshold (see SETup:PCALibration:TRIGger:THReshold ).

Make sure the step count, the number of centers, and the number of widths specified for the discrete wavetype are consistent. The number of returned results depends on the step count. If the number of centers and/or widths is less than the step count, invalid data is returned.

The command to set the step count is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:COUNt .

The command to set the step centers is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:CENTer .

The command to set the step widths is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:WIDth .

The range of this parameter depends on the Step Width parameter. You must ensure that the Step Center subtract half of the Step Width is greater than or equal to zero and the Step Center plus half of the Step Width parameter is less than or equal to 400 ms.

If none of the optional units (S|MS|US|NS) are specified, the default unit is S (seconds).

This command sets/queries the total number of intervals for which in the mobile station's discrete calibration signal is to be measured.

Make sure the step count, the number of centers, and the number of widths specified for the discrete wavetype are consistent. The number of returned results depends on the step count. If the number of centers and/or widths is less than the step count, invalid data is returned.

This command is only applicable when the command SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE is set to DISCrete .

This command sets/queries the Interval Widths of each interval of a Discrete Waveform Calibration Signal.

Make sure the step count, the number of centers, and the number of widths specified for the discrete wavetype are consistent. The number of returned results depends on the step count. If the number of centers and/or widths is less than the step count, invalid data is returned.

The command to set the step count is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:COUNt .

The command to set the step centers is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:CENTer .

The command to set the step widths is SETup:PCALibration:STEP:WIDth .

The range of this parameter depends on the Step Center parameter. You must ensure that the Step Center minus half of the Step Width is greater than or equal to zero and the Step Center plus half of the Step Width parameter is less than or equal to 400 ms.

If none of the optional units (S|MS|US|NS) are specified, the default unit is S (seconds).

SETup:PCALibration:WAVeform:TYPE

Function

This command sets/queries the Waveform Type for the Phase and Amplitude versus Time measurement.

  • DISCrete - This setting configures the test set to expect a calibration signal generated by the mobile station that consists of a sequence of finite length power bursts with no burst in the sequence having a higher maximum power level than the first burst, which transitions through the trigger level threshold (see SETup:PCALibration:TRIGger:THReshold ).
  • CONTinuous -This setting configures the test set to expect a waveform consisting of an initial power burst 577 µs wide to trigger the measurement, followed by a piecewise continuous power waveform.
  • CONT2 - This setting is similar to the CONTinuous setting except that it uses different type of filtering and a different sample rate.
  • CONT3 - This setting is similar to the CONTinuous setting except that it uses different type of filtering and a different sample rate. It supports measureing a wideband signal.
