Phase and Amplitude versus Time Troubleshooting

This measurement is only applicable to the GSM/GPRS/EGPRS lab applications and test applications with the required feature licenses.

Setup and data output for this measurement is only available via the GPIB commands.

The interval count and the number of interval centers and interval widths must be consistent. The number of returned results depends on the interval count. If the number of centers and/or widths is less than the step count, invalid data is returned.

Many of the SETup and FETCh commands for the Phase and Amplitude versus Time measurement only apply to one of the waveform types. See Phase and Amplitude versus Time Measurement Parameters for information.

Certain restrictions apply to the ranges of the step widths and step centers. For details, see the description for SETup:PCALibration:STEP:WIDth (step width) and SETup:PCALibration:STEP:CENTer (step center).

Initiating this measurement automatically aborts any measurement that is currently in progress.

Using a Spectrum Analyzer is a good way to troubleshoot the calibration signal the mobile is sending to the test set. You can do this by connecting the mobile station to the test set and the Spectrum Analyzer via an RF splitter.

You must run the Spectrum Monitor calibration at least once a month, more frequently if the temperature changes by +/- 10 °C.

If you got an error message saying "Operation rejected; Feature is not licensed. See www.keysight.com/find/8960upgrades for additional information". The possible reason could be because you do not have the correct license, or that for the license you have you need to set the waveform type to CONT2.
