HSDPA Information

This section is only applicable to the lab application or feature-licensed test application.

These results are cleared by the Clear UE Info action.

UE Reported HS-DSCH Category

This result contains the UE HS-DSCH Physical Layer Category reported by the UE in the Physical Channel Capability IE in the RRC Connection Setup Complete message. If the UE did not report a category, then the result is 9.91E+37 (----).

Current UE HS-DSCH Category

This result contains the UE category currently in use by the test set. For examples of how the test set uses the Current UE HS-DSCH Category , see HSDPA Packet Switched Data and User Defined Configuration of the HS-DSCH .

If UE HS-DSCH Category Control is set to Auto and the category reported by the UE is valid (1-24), the Current UE HS-DSCH Category is equal to the UE Reported HS-DSCH Category .

Otherwise, the Current UE HS-DSCH Category indicates the Manual UE HS-DSCH Category setting.

The UE categories are defined in 3GPP TS 25.306 Table 5.1a.

Current MIMO Configuration Status

This result indicates whether MIMO configuration is currently active. It is applicable in both Active Cell and FDD Test Operation Mode.

HSDPA Counters

The HSDPA Information window displays counters to help you monitor the HSDPA connection status. The results are continually updated until one of the following occurs:

When one of these events occurs, the counters reset to zero and then resume counting.

The HSDPA counters provide similar results to the HSDPA BLER measurement (see HSDPA Block Error Ratio Measurement Description ). However, note that because they are being calculated for a different set of blocks (the HSDPA counters are typically calculated over a much greater number of blocks), the results will often vary.

Current Test Mode Transport Block Size

This result represents the (MAC-hs) transport block size currently in use by the test set, which, as defined in 3GPP TS 25.321 s9.2.3.1 is affected by the User Defined Number of Active HS-PDSCHs , User Defined Transport Block Size Index , and User Defined Modulation Type settings.

Current PS Data Transport Block Size

This result represents the current (MAC-hs) transport block size currently in use by the test set, which, as defined in 3GPP TS 25.321 s9.2.3.1 is affected by the PS Data User Defined Active HS-PDSCHs , PS Data User Def Transport Block Size Index , and PS Data User Defined Modulation Type settings.

Last Signaled Measurement Power Offset

This result represents the most recent Measurement Power Offset (see Meas Pow Offset ) that was signaled to the UE during a call setup or a part of a Transport Channel Reconfiguration procedure.

Manual Operation

To access the HSDPA Information from the front panel, press the left More key until you reach the Call Control 2 of 5 menu, select Additional Screens ( F1 ), then HSPA Information ( F2 ). Some of the HSDPA Information results are also available on the main Call Setup Screen .
