How Do I Configure the Data Channel?

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

GPRS Packet Data Service

  1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
  2. Press the More key on the left until you reach the Call Parms ( 3 of 4 ) menu.
  3. Press Data Channels ( F4 ).

  4. Press Packet Data Setup ( F1 ).

  5. Set GPRS Radio Access Bearer to the desired value.
  6. If you would like to simulate a network rejection of an Activate PDP Context Request from a UE, set Activate PDP Context Reject State to On , and set Activate PDP Context Reject SM Cause to the desired value.
  7. Select Close Menu ( F6 ).

CS (Circuit Switched) Data Service

  1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
  2. Press the More key on the left until you reach the Call Parms ( 3 of 4 ) menu.
  3. Press Data Channels ( F4 ).
  4. Press CS Data Setup ( F2 ).

  5. Set the CS data settings as needed.

  6. Select Close Menu ( F6 ).
