The units include compensation circuits with four user-programmed bandwidth positions to optimize response times for different ranges of phone capacitance. The units are shipped in HRemote mode, which offers the fastest output response, but requires an external capacitor for stable operation. The HLocal and LLocal modes do not require external capacitors for stable operation. Instructions for changing the compensation mode from the front panel are found in the manual on p.34. Instructions for changing the front panel mode with SCPI are found on page111.
