GPRS TA

This command is not applicable to GPRS TA.

GSM/GPRS LA

This command is not applicable to GSM/GPRS LA.
EGPRS TA

This command sets/queries the group count, that is the number of bursts at each power level, for each ramp segment. For the command form, if the number of parameters sent exceeds the current number of ramp segments, the additional values are stored but are only used in a measurement if the number of ramp segments is increased.

If the group size is set to a value greater than the number of bursts in a ramp segment, the group size will truncate the group size to the number of bursts in the ramp segment.

The query form of this command returns one value per ramp segment. The number of ramp segments is specified by the command SETup:EDPower:COUNt:RSEGment .

The total number of bursts to be measured over all ramp segments can be obtained with the query SETup:EDPower:COUNt:TOTal? .

GSM TA

GPRS TA

GSM/GPRS LA

This command is not applicable to GSM/GPRS LA.
EGPRS TA

This command sets/queries whether or not the expected power for the first burst in each ramp segment should be derived automatically by the test set.

When this command is set to 1 or ON, the same expected power setting is used for the first burst in all ramp segments. The value used for the expected power depends on the state of the Expected Power Control. To set the state of the test set's expected power see RFANalyzer:CONTrol:POWer:AUTO . If the Expected Power Control parameter is set to Auto, the MS TX Level Burst 1 setting is used, see CALL:(PDTCH|PDTChannel):MS:TXLevel[:SELected]:BURSt<[1]|2|3|4|5> . If the Expected Power Control parameter is set to Manual, the expected power that is used is the power level setting for burst 1 that the test set's receiver is expecting to see. To set the power level that the test set's receiver is expecting see RFANalyzer:MANual:POWer:BURSt<[1]|2|3|4|5|6|7> .

When the initial power state is set to OFF, the initial power values set by the Initial Power Values parameter, SETup:EDPower:INITial:POWer , are used for the expected value in each ramp segment.

GSM TA

GPRS TA

GSM/GPRS LA This command is not applicable to GSM/GPRS LA.
EGPRS TA This command sets/queries the measurement methods. There are three measurement methods: Burst Power, Variable Estimated Carrier Power(ECP) and Fixed Estimated Carrier Power. When the expected modulation format is 8PSK, the power of a burst is determined using one of three methods above. If the expected modulation format is GMSK, the measurement method is always Burst Power.

Burst Power ( BURSt ) determines the power of burst of the burst without any compensation for data content. Variable Estimated Carrier Power ( CARRier ) determines the ECP on an individual burst basis. This allows random data patterns to be used. Fixed Estimated Carrier Power ( FCARrier ) determines the data compensation factor for the burst with the highest power and assumes the same data pattern is used for all bursts.
