  1. Set the GPRS Radio Access Bearer to one of the following configurations:
    • 64k PS Data RAB
    • 64k UL/384k DL PS Data RAB
    • HSUPA UL / HSDPA DL PS

This parameter can be accessed on the test set's front panel by pressing CALL SETUP , left-hand side More key until menu 3 of 5 appears, Data Channels ( F4 ), Packet Data Setup ( F1 ).

  2. Establish a AMR voice call and a PS data connection. The order in which these connections are established does not matter). Also, the AMR voice connection can be either mobile originated (MO) or mobile terminated (MT). (See How Do I Set Up a Call and Make a Connection? and Establishing a Packet Data Connection for more information.)

Alternatively, you can establish an AMR voice call and a PS data connection from the Simultaneous Sevices menu by pressing Originate AMR Voice Call ( F3 ) to establish an AMR call or Originate PS Data Connection ( F4 ). The Simultaneous Services menu can be accessed on the test set's front panel by pressing CALL SETUP , left-hand side More key until menu 5 of 5 appears, Simultaneous Services ( F4 ).

    NOTE
Pressing Originate Call ( F3 on the CALL SETUP screen) generates a page attempt to the mobile station based on the Paging Service parameter setting.

How to End One or Both Sevices of the Simultaneous Services Connection

  1. Open Simultaneous Sevices menu. This menu can be accessed on the test set's front panel by pressing CALL SETUP , left-hand side More key until menu 5 of 5 appears, Simultaneous Services ( F4 ).
  2. In the Simultaneous Sevices menu you can: end all active connections by pressing End All ( F1 ), end just the AMR call by pressing End AMR Voice Call ( F3 ), or end the PS Data connection by pressing End PS Data Connection ( F4 ).

    NOTE
