Coupling (Input Analog Tab)

Default: AC

The Coupling parameter specifies AC or DC coupling for the selected Logical Channel.

When AC or DC coupling is not an option for the input measurement hardware, it will not be available in the drop-down list.

This parameter can be selected for All channels or individually for each available channel. The available channels are displayed in Logical Channel located at the top of the dialog box. If the selections for individual channels are different, the arrow button () after the Coupling text box will be orange. Click the arrow button to view the Coupling selection for each available channel.

With AC coupling, the response to the input signal rolls off at low frequencies. The frequency at which rolloff is 3 dB down depends on what kind of hardware being used. For low frequencies, use DC coupling to avoid measurement error if DC coupling is supported by the hardware.
