Color Tab (Display Preferences)
The tab in the dialog sets the colors of user interface elements including traces, the marker readout window, symbol points, the grid, and trace background.
To change a color, select the item from the list, and click the Color... button. A standard Windows color selection dialog box opens that selects a standard color or to define a custom color for that user interface element.
Colors are saved in .dspx files. (From the menu, select ).
Universal settings
These settings apply for all traces and cannot be set independently for each trace:
- sets the color for the ACP Adjacent Channel Power: The power from a modulated communications channel that leaks into an adjacent channel. This leakage is usually specified as a ratio to the power in the main channel, but is sometimes an absolute power. Bandwidth background bars when the ACP marker is enabled.
- : sets the color for the ACP annotation when the ACP marker is enabled.
- sets the color for the text annotations on all traces (Span, TimeLen, Rng, Center, etc.).
- sets the color for the background of the area outside the trace grid (that contains the trace annotations).
- sets the color for the graticule on each trace display.
- sets the color for messages that appear in the upper right corner of each trace.
- sets the color for a limit line and the trace color at fail points.
- sets the color for a margin line and the trace color at fail points.
- sets the background color of the Markers Window.
- : sets the symbol color for different modulation types. Which modulation type a Mod Type entry corresponds to is different for each measurement type.
- - sets the color for inactive markers in all traces.
- sets the color for the OBW Occupied bandwidth is closely related to channel power. It indicates how much frequency spectrum is covered by some given percentage (often 99%) of the total power of the modulated signal. background bar when the OBW marker is enabled.
- sets the color for the OBW annotation when the OBW marker is enabled.
- - sets the color for the active marker in all traces.
- sets the color for the annotation that appears on TD-SCDMA and 1xEV-DO traces.
- sets the color for the background arrow in TD-SCDMA slots, indicating whether the slot is uplink or downlink. It also sets the color for the background of Data portions of 1xEV-DO forward link measurements.
- sets the color for the background of MAC portions of 1xEV-DO forward link measurements.
- sets the color for the midamble portion of Composite TD-SCDMA displays.
- sets the color for the background of Pilot portions of 1xEV-DO forward link measurements.
- sets the color for the uplink section of the pilot timeslot for TD-SCDMA displays.
- sets the color for the uplink section of the pilot timeslot for TD-SCDMA displays.
- sets the color for the background of Preamble portions of 1xEV-DO forward link measurements.
- sets the color for the timeslot specified as the analysis timeslot for TD-SCDMA measurements.
- sets the color for the background of the trace display.
Trace-specific or measurement-specific settings
These settings affect only the specified trace:
- sets the color for OFDM Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing: OFDM employs multiple overlapping radio frequency carriers, each operating at a carefully chosen frequency that is Orthogonal to the others, to produce a transmission scheme that supports higher bit rates due to parallel channel operation. OFDM is an alternative tranmission scheme to DSSS and FHSS. demod RMS EVM Error vector magnitude (EVM): A quality metric in digital communication systems. See the EVM metric in the Error Summary Table topic in each demodulator for more information on how EVM is calculated for that modulation format. results for the specified trace.
- sets the color for the selected emitter in Pulse measurements.
- sets the color for the selected M/RU in 802.11ax/be measurements.
- sets the color for OFDM demod Pilot bits in the specified trace.
- sets the color of the vertical spectrogram marker for the specified trace.
- sets the color for symbol points in the specified trace.
802.11n HT high throughput modulation: the symbol color is changed using the Mod Type N parameter.
802.16 OFDMA modulation: When mode is selected, the symbol color is specified by the defined data burst color and cannot be changed. When is selected, the symbol color is changed using Mod Type N parameter.
- sets the color for the specified trace and its annotation.
- sets the color of the horizontal Trace Select spectrogram marker for the specified trace.
