Data Offset Nom

Data Offset Nom

Last updated: May 24, 2006

Data Offset Nom allows you to specify the nominal offset of the R-Data and R-Access Data Channels to the R-Pilot Channel. It is used by the test set to range its receiver (see Expected Power ).

Data Offset Nom is a "Configurable Attribute" for the Default Access Channel MAC, Default Reverse Traffic Channel MAC and Enhanced Access Channel MAC protocols. To determine when each protocol is active, see Current Physical Layer Subtype and Associated Protocols . It is sent to the AT in the Configuration Request message during session negotiation. When a session is open, changing this setting results in a session re-negotiation. If Data Offset Nom is changed when a connection is open, the connection will be closed. You will have to re-open the connection. See Session Negotiate State for details.
