CALL[:CELL]:(PBCCH|PBCChannel)[:STATe]

Function

GSM TA

This command is not applicable to the GSM Test Application.
GPRS TA

This command is not applicable to the GPRS Test Application.

EGPRS TA

This command is not applicable to the EGPRS Test Application.

GSM/GPRS LA

This command sets/queries the PBCCH channel state.

The PBCCH can only be enabled in the Cell Off operating mode. Attempting to change this setting while in any mode other than Cell Off results in the following error message: "GPRS operation rejected; Attempting to set BCH parameter while generating a BCH."

EGPRS LA

The Packet Broadcast Control Channel (PBCCH) state must be enabled for this parameter to take effect.

This command sets/queries the Network Control Non-DRX (discontinuous reception) Period. 3GPP TS 05.08 states, "In non-DRX mode, the MS shall only increment/decrement DSC (downlink signaling failure counter) for one block per DRX period according to its paging group."

Setting

Range: 0 to 7, which corresponds to 0.48, 0.96, 1.92, 3.84, 7.68, 15.36, 30.72, and 61.44 seconds.
